During his education, William started his career in the political arena - working at a top lobbying firm in Washington DC. Later, while attending College in New York City (studying economics and monetary policy), he joined the ranks of a political consulting firm in the heart of Manhattan. William gained a reputation as a fierce political operative and was brought on to be the political director of a highly contested Congressional campaign. After the campaign, he quit politics altogether and was recruited to join a venture-backed startup where he led the design and implementation of the company’s marketing, sales, and communications strategy. Upon leaving the start-up world he worked in finance for a boutique financial advisory and asset manager with $1.8 billion under management, focused in structured debt, and public company direct investments. He later teamed up with his friend and colleague to start Group697.
William naturally enjoys working with people and takes joy in every new and shared experience. He is an avid reader and lover of life. In his free time he enjoys sailing, chess, and the occasional game of pick-up basketball. He's a connoisseur of good coffee and always up for good debate over food and drinks.
